PA Crew Academy Program Overview

The Pennsylvania Soccer Academy is a progressive premier level club that aims to place players with the highest level coaches in the area. It is our goal to build in our young athletes the technical skills, tactical understanding, strength of character and team concepts essential to compete effectively at the highest level of competitive soccer at the State, Regional and National Levels.  To this end we are committed to providing each child with a positive soccer experience, by promoting a love for the game, the spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition. This does not end on the field as we strive to support our players in a manner that promotes achievement in the classroom as well as every day life. All of our Coaches are professional licensed and are of the highest caliber and understand the process of youth development at all levels. Pennsylvania Crew annually places many of its participants on college teams throughout the United States.

U8-U10 Program (Junior)

The Pennsylvania Junior Crew Academy program is for players between the ages of 8-10 years old. Our Academy training is based on the COERVER method and its pyramid of player develop. The COERVER method is a progressive program that gives each player the cutting edge training that is essential for their development. The Academy program’s emphasis includes the following: individual ball mastery; 1v1 techniques of the world’s greatest players; competitive cauldrons; strength; speed; coordination and agility training; modern tactics; and small group play. This is accomplished in an environment that emphasizes learning and growth and not winning at all costs. Although competition is an integral part of the learning process it is not the keystone of development.

The Fall and Spring Outdoor Academy sessions are held at the Crew Fields or at Graham Park.. Academy teams practice twice a week in the Spring and Fall outdoor seasons. Each Academy team will participate in the PA West League. The Winter Indoor Academy sessions are held at Crew’s very own Indoor Training Facility. Academy teams will train twice a week in the Winter Indoor Season during November-March. Each Academy team will also participate in the GaReat league for all indoor games.

The Fall and Spring Outdoor Academy sessions are held at the Crew Fields or at Graham Park. Intermediate teams practice twice a week in the Spring and Fall outdoor seasons. Each Academy team will participate in the PA West League. The Winter Indoor Academy sessions are all held at Crew’s very own Indoor Training Facility. U15-U18 Program (Senior)

The senior program is the last progression of PA Crew’s cirriculum of player development. This time period is important for the player to create personal goals on and off the field and to become more independent with respect to life on and off the field. The COERVER method is still reinforced with its Technical teachings and even more advanced tactical teaching is reinforced as well in conjunction with the ideas of achievement and competition. However, this time period is important for the promotion of the individual as well as the team for college placement. TO help in the matter to college placement our tournament structure is “showcase tournaments”. This permits the college coach to recruit our players. All U15-U18 teams participate in the PAWest or Colonial Leagues as well as the PAWest State Cup. Showcases attended are up to the individual team and coach with board approval. The goal of these teams is to reach the US Club Soccer Regional Tournament and extend the possibility of making it to US Club Nationals. The Senior Program officially begins in January and continues through June or longer depending upon each team’s success.

All outdoor training sessions and home games are held at the Crew Fields or Graham Park, while all indoor training is held at Crew’s very own indoor training Facility. Your fees cover the following:
